2025 Robbins Family Foundation Grant Recipients

Warrensburg Cat Advocates, a fully licensed rescue located in Warrensburg, MO, serves as their county’s primary Trap-Neuter-Return organization serving the homeless cat population. Their 2025 grant will help fund medical, surgical, and vaccination costs associated with their growing foster program as well as construction of a new outbuilding for storage of equipment and supplies.

The Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary, located in Red Lodge, MT, supports education and environment by inspiring and informing visitors, tour groups, and youth groups about protecting our natural landscape and wildlife. Their first priority is the welfare of 32 resident animals and birds, providing them with appropriate diets, medical care, and enrichment. Their 2025 grant will be used to install a new safety fence/barrier around their wolf enclosure.

The WYO PLAY Future Filmmakers Program exposes Sheridan, WY high-school and college-age students to professionals in the film industry who teach them the basics of writing screenplays, cinematography, sound recording, and editing through project-based learning. Their 2025 grant will be used to expand opportunities in area schools, creating more access for students to learn about multiple areas of filmmaking through workshops and the production of original short films.

Lander Art Center , located in Lander, Wyoming, serves Fremont County by providing a space for the arts to thrive through exhibitions, education, and community events. Their 2025 grant will help finance two of their core programs: Youth Arts Education, which includes after school programs and in-school residencies to support kids and young adults, and their Open Clay Studio, a ceramics studio accessible to everyone in the community.

Located in Sheridan, WY, the Sheridan Community Education Foundation receives grants and donations that are targeted to support specific programs within Sheridan County School District. Their 2025 grant will help the Sheridan High School Drama Club travel and participate in the Wyoming State Thespian Festival in Laramie, WY for the third year in a row.

The Sheridan Community Land Trust helps to preserve open spaces, healthy rivers and creeks, working ranches, wildlife habitat, and vibrant history in Sheridan County while expanding recreation opportunities to connect people with the places they love. The SCLT plans to put their 2025 grant towards the first stages of creating an Education and Welcome Center for their Goose Creek property; funds will be used to for general remodeling as well as interpretive displays and murals.

Messengers for Health Messengers for Health is an Indigenous non-profit organization located on the Apsáalooke (Crow) Reservation in Montana. Their mission is to grow, foster, and support trusted and respected community leaders to improve the health of Apsáalooke (Crow Indian) men, women, and children using solutions that respect and honor Apsáalooke strengths, culture, stories, and language. Their 2025 grant will go toward the Messenger for Health Transportation Program, which helps tribal members attend medical appointments.  

The Red Lodge Area Community Foundation of Red Lodge, Montana, seeks to connect people and build community by catalyzing change and sharing resources to build a strong ,vibrant, resilient, inclusive community. A current project they are involved in is The Carbon County Historic Rehabilitation grant program (CCHR), an initiative to fund brick-and-mortar projects involving historic properties in Carbon County, MT, and their 2025 grant will be put to use in the continuing preservation and development of the Roosevelt Center, a historic building that will serve as a public multi-use space for arts, culture, conferences, events, and community civic dialogue.

Badland Conservation Alliance is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the badlands and rolling prairie ecosystem comprising western North Dakota’s public lands, both state and federal. The Alliance plans to use their 2025 grant to continue these efforts with the help of Americorps field teams.

Founded in 2008, The Missouri German Shepard Rescue has saved over 2,000 dogs to date. They are a small and growing breed specific rescue based in Kansas City, MO, that saves dogs throughout the Midwest. Their 2025 grant will be used to cover veterinarian costs, including medical, spaying and neutering, and vaccinations.

Tongue River Valley Scholarship Fund provides academic-based scholarships for high school students in Dayton and Ranchester, WY seeking to continue their education at a college or trade school. The TRVSF’s grant money will help 2026’s graduating seniors continue their educations.

Bighorn Development Center supports and strengthens children, families, and professionals in Sheridan, WY, and surrounding communities by working together to provide developmental information and services. The goal of the BDC’s 2025 grant is to create an inclusive outdoor environment that supports physical development, sensory exploration, and social interaction; 2025 funding will be specifically used for turf for their onsite playground.
