2023 Robbins Family Foundation Grant Recipients

Warrensburg Cat Advocates, a fully licensed rescue located in Warrensburg, MO, serves as their county’s primary Trap-Neuter-Return organization serving the homeless cat population. Their 2023 grant will fund field equipment including additional traps, vaccines, medications, and tests, foster kits, website updates, and additional training for staff.

The Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary, located in Red Lodge, MT, supports education and environment by inspiring and informing visitors, tour groups, and youth groups about protecting our natural landscape and wildlife. Their first priority is the welfare of 32 resident animals and birds, providing them with appropriate diets, medical care, and enrichment. Their 2023 grant will help the facility with infrastructure repairs this year including updating the municipal water systems as well as necessary replacing of fencing and gates due to this project.

The WYO PLAY Future Filmmakers Program exposes Sheridan, WY high-school and college-age students to professionals in the film industry who teach them the basics of writing screenplays, cinematography, sound recording, and editing through project-based learning. Their 2023 grant provides opportunities for high school and college-age youth in the Sheridan area to learn about multiple areas of filmmaking through workshops and the production of original short films.

The Tongue River Valley Scholarship Fund supports Tongue River High School (Ranchester and Dayton, WY) graduates as they continue their education through a traditional academic pathway or through a vocational pathway. Their 2023 grant provides first and second year college or continued education scholarships for students who demonstrate values of stewardship, empowerment, and integrity.

Sheridan Community Education Foundation, Inc. Located in Sheridan, WY, the SCEF receives grants and donations that are targeted to support specific programs within Sheridan County School District. Their 2023 grant helps the Sheridan High School Drama Club travel and participate in the Wyoming State Thespian Festival–a rare opportunity for SHS theater students. This year will be the first time since 2015 and only the fourth time in the last two decades that the SHS Fall Drama Club will participate in the Wyoming State Thespian Festival.

Rooted in Wyoming, located in Sheridan, WY, Rooted in Wyoming are dedicated to building and nurturing school and community gardens, in Sheridan County through a better understanding of local foods, nutrition, and sustainability in our community. Their 2023 grant will be used to build a teaching garden to model sustainable growing practices with the help of area school kids, community groups, and summer camps.
